Civil Tech Pty Ltd delivered vital earth retaining and bank stabilisation works along the River Torrens, adjacent to University Bridge—a high-profile location within Adelaide’s Park Lands.

The project involved demolition of an existing stone wall, followed by installation of deep steel piles, concrete sleeper systems, gabion walls, and associated concreting to form a long-lasting structural solution. Works also included pavement reconstruction, relocation of shared-use path lighting, and landscaping, including topsoil placement and turf installation. Temporary works such as aqua barriers and track construction were used to enable safe and effective site access.

The team delivered the project with zero safety incidents, navigating complex conditions adjacent to water while maintaining pedestrian and environmental safety. The result is a visually enhanced, structurally reinforced corridor that blends with the lakeside environment and supports both functional and aesthetic goals.
