Civil Tech Pty Ltd completed the Braeside Road Ford Crossing / Floodway Works on Braeside Road, Finniss, replacing the existing floodway and culvert to improve drainage, flood resilience, and the long-term performance of the crossing.

The works included the demolition of the existing crossing, installation of two reinforced concrete box culverts, construction of a new concrete floodway, and regrading of the road approaches.  Extensive rock pitching and scour protection were also installed to stabilise the creek and minimise erosion, while maintaining a natural appearance within the surrounding environment.

The project was completed with new road safety infrastructure, including signage, guideposts, depth markers, and wheel stops.  Throughout construction, Civil Tech maintained creek flows using temporary bypass measures and delivered the works with zero environmental incidents and zero safety incidents.
