Civil Tech Pty Ltd was engaged to deliver the design and reconstruction of a shared-use bridge spanning the Onkaparinga River between Seaford Meadows and Noarlunga Downs. The bridge forms a critical link in the Coast to Vines Rail Trail, supporting pedestrians, cyclists, and horses—accommodating more than 65,000 users annually.

The project involved demolishing the existing degraded timber deck, handrails, and balustrades, while retaining the original steel substructure, which was originally constructed to support rail loads. The new 66-metre-long deck was constructed using a recycled composite material, complete with balustrades, lighting, and compliant access for all users, aligning with Universal Design and CPTED principles.

Civil Tech completed the works in just 4 weeks, from 1st June to 2nd July 2021, delivering the bridge ahead of schedule and with zero safety incidents. The project was completed without any excavation to the riverbanks, protecting the site's cultural and environmental significance.
