As part of the City of Adelaide’s commitment to building better bikeways and improving active transport connectivity, Civil Tech Pty Ltd delivered the construction of a new shared-use path along South Terrace, between Charlotte Street and East Terrace. This strategic link supports the city's goal of creating a safer, more accessible network for pedestrians and cyclists travelling through and around Adelaide’s Park Lands.
The works included demolition of the existing footpath, earthworks, trenching and backfill, and construction of a new concrete path, designed to meet the latest civil construction standards. Additional scope included the supply and installation of service conduits, kerbing, and landscape maintenance. A comprehensive Traffic Guidance Scheme was implemented to ensure the safety of all road users during and after working hours.
Delivered in coordination with the City of Adelaide and SA Power Networks, this project plays an important role in supporting the city's broader investment in sustainable infrastructure, including the $12 million North-South Bikeway initiative, which promotes safer, more efficient connections for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
This project supports Adelaide’s $12M bikeway initiative and sustainable transport goals and demonstrates Civil Tech’s expertise in urban civil infrastructure and commitment to delivering high-quality, community-focused outcomes aligned with local government vision and environmental goals.
